Istanbul was quite warm when the rest of Europe was having snow storms. Now, they are starting to enjoy spring and Istanbul had its first decent snow. Nothing serious, just was scenic for a short while.
We had a couple days of spring here before winter is starting again. So, we hopped into the car, drove trough the Fatih Sultan Mehmet (the second bridge) Bridge and went to the Anatolian Fortress, right across the one on our side. I always loved small fishing villages but did not expected to find one here. A small castle, a creek running through it, fishing boats, seagulls and of course balik-ekmek (grilled or fried fish sandwiches).
Lula in her new favorite color. I think we are in the inevitable pink phase.
Our girls are growing. So fast. When I even look at photos a few months old, they look younger to me. I think of this often, usually around early evenings after we eat our dinner. I start to get excited for girl's approaching bedtime as I have spent most of the day with or for them and I am tired and ready for some me-time, but I also realize that as everyday ends, their littleness is ending a little bit. Soon, they will be going to college. I get filled with more energy and play with them some more.
