Lula, John and I had a quick trip to Budapest and had a great time. We got to see Big John and Janis for one night and caught up during a wonderful dinner with really tasty Hungarian wine. We strolled around this beautiful city, enjoyed the playgrounds we bumped into in every other turn, and had more tasty dinner and wine. We went to a puppet show which was a partial success. Lula was really intrigued, but it was the story of three witches. As it was in Hungarian, she could not really follow the story and the puppets sometimes scared her. We did not stay for the second part. The Hungarian Folk Dance Show, on the other hand, was unexpectedly a big hit. It was a show for us and we hoped that she would at least want to stay for a little bit, but she stayed put for the whole show for 1.5 hours. The dance was very fast paced with good live music, good dancers in good costumes. Of course, we missed Adele very much and were so happy to return at the end of 4 days.
Our only family photo taken by Janis. Buda Castle in the background.
One of the playgrounds under nice sun.
At the puppet theatre with red panda...
I have some more scenic photos here.
